Wells Fargo Arena of the Iowa Events Center is Des Moines' premier venue for concerts. In the past few years, Des Moines has welcomed acts such as Coldplay, Keith Urban, Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with more big names to hit Des Moines in the near future.
80/35, Des Moines' new music festival, welcomed the Flaming Lips as a headliner for their inaugural year, along with more than 40 other acts including The Envy Corps, Ingrid Michaelson and The Roots. Other alternative acts continue to play at smaller venues across the city.
