About the Greater Des Moines Convention & Visitors Bureau (GDMCVB)

The Greater Des Moines CVB is a not-for-profit corporation with a 23-member board. We have 21 full-time and five part-time employees in the downtown office.  Twenty part-time employees provide registration assistance at conventions and events.  Fourteen volunteers staff the visitors center at the Des Moines International Airport.
We are a member of Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI). Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) awarded accreditation to the Greater Des Moines CVB. In earning accreditation, the GDMCVB has attained a significant measure of excellence.
