Over 80 state-licensed wineries are in Iowa! If you love wine, make sure to stop at all of the fantastic wineries!

Day 1

The National Balloon Museum and U.S. National Ballooning Hall of Fame in Indianola archives more than 200 years of ballooning, hosts 24,000 visitors a year (with 20 countries in attendance) and operates on more than 2,000 volunteer hours annually. Contact (515) 961-3714 for more information.

For over 50 years, Knoxville Raceway has entertained with exciting open wheel and dirt track racing. The raceway and museum is known as the “Sprint Capital of the World.” Contact Brian Stickel at (641) 842-5431.

Day 2
The John and Mary Pappajohn Sculpture Park, set on 4.4 acres in the heart of Downtown Des Moines, features 27 works of art donated to the museum by John and Mary Pappajohn from their renowned collection of contemporary sculptures. John and Mary Pappajohn are known worldwide and ARTnews magazine listed them as one of the top 200 art collectors in the world. The 27 sculptures are the largest single public gift in Des Moines' history and the largest public gift of art in Iowa history. Day 3
